One good thing about living in London is endless international foods. It always makes me very excited to discover new ones. I am very happy to have tried this little Spanish called Arbina the other day and if you like Spanish foods as much as I do, you are going to love it. It is located in the trendy area, Fitzrovia, and just few minutes walk from Warren Street station. A very inviting entrance. Don’t you just love this cosy environment with the warm lighting and almost feel like home kind of decorations. The first thing my lovely team photographer asked me was if I would come here for a date. The answer is, oh yes! Now can you imagine how cosy it is? You can even call it romantic. Warm yellowish lighting, not too bright but not too dark that you can still see your foods clearly. I am sure you have been to several of those that you can’t even see what you are eating… This is definitely not one of those but still give good amount of romance and cosiness. The whole restaurant is decorated in details. If you like this kind of style, you can also come here to take some interior ideas. As usual, when the outfit matches the location, don’t forget to take some photos! 🙂
Below photo is the stairway to downstair. and I swear I did not try to match my outfit this time but it seems this happen to me very often. After enough visit of this place, now we need to start the foods. The menu is a heaven, there are so many choices. Tapas, pintxos, stews or roasts to order and of course the wine.We started with my favorite two dishes: Pimientos De Padron (deep fried Padron peppers)and Calamares A La Andaluza (deep fried squid). They have just enough flavors and not too rich as some of the deep fried dishes might be. I think I can eat them all day long. For the main, we went for Seafood Paella with Langoustines, squid, mussels and vegetables. Very classic three choices for Spanish foods. I believe that to see if a place is good or not, go for the basic and if they are good, then you know you want more. But of course there are lots of other choices here on the menu as I mentioned earlier and I think I am coming back to try the rest of them in the future. Dessert time. If you know me in person, you would know I don’t finish a meal without having desserts. Nuestro Postre de Chocolate, a chocolate dessert with rich melted chocolate inside. If you are a chocolate person, this is the one for you. Tarta de Santiago Con Crema Inglesa Caliente, almond Tart with just right amount of honey flavor, my personal favorite. But now I look at the menu and wonder why I didn’t try Spanish Tiramisu? Next time then and if you have time to try it, please let me know how it goes. Now this is the place, if you wonder how to get there, click the link here. And they are now taking booking for Christmas, check it out here for more details.
I am not going to pretend an expert in foods and not a food critic either, very few of us are, but if I like something, I know! And most of us like enjoying good foods, good places and good times in life, don’t we? If I experienced more in London or during my travelling, I will sure carrying on sharing with you. 🙂
