This is actually a late OOTD post from last month with my new favourite 2 trends: Real Straight Jeans + Decorated Beanie.
Real Straight Jeans
After decades of Skinny Jeans trend (which is still going on), finally these few years, Boyfriend Cut and Mom Jeans trends are playing strong and now this pair of Real Straight Jeans from Gap has come into my collection and became one of my new favourite pairs. I have to admit that Super Skinny/Skinny does do wonder for figures if your preference is model like silhouette. But I am so happy that these few years, in jeans trend, figure seems no longer the most important thing. Instead, the image and style is. I am not saying that Super Skinny/Skinny Jeans don’t give a good image or style, in fact I love them and will do probably forever. But I really love the fact that people embrace that maybe shorter legs, less about being slim, not that figure oriented trends. Instead, style statement seems more important, ex. Boyfriend Jeans give a very laid-back look while Mon Jeans is very much about retro. And to me, Real Straight Jeans give a “I don’t care” image. This is probably one of the very original cuts of jeans, basic and functional and I love them even though in them, my figure might not look the best to classic model standard.
I always love beanies and have lots of them mostly in plain colours. I really think they are “must” in wardrobe for so many reasons: keeping you warm, looking cool, being useful for raining days, saving your not so perfect hair days and etc. I guess lots of you have at least a couple of them already. If you are bored of plain beanies, statement beanies have been in the trend for a while and I believe it is still going on. The beanie I have here is from Pinko but you can easily DIY yourself. A cool statement wording, simple graphic, some patchworks or a veil… straight away the old beanie become new fashion items.
