I am leaving to airport in the late afternoon and can’t believe that I am here now writing a blog post!? And to avoid travelling with my laptop, I still have another post to finish for Vogue Taiwan after this one!! I started IG first and my social media life seemed to be much easier at that time. The only few things I needed to do were making sure my photos are nice visually, go nicely next to each other and post them. That’s all… But ever since I have this blog, now I feel my photos on IG need stories at the back and they need to link to my blog posts… now you know why I have to write this post here now for the photo I am planning to post on my IG today. And sorry for such weird introduction of the post.
From the photos, I don’t think it is hard to tell that this post is about this cardi. It is such a statement piece that it’s hard to not to look at. I really think it deserved a post alone. Not trying to show off, but I very often have people stopping me in the street asking where I get my things from? I am pretty sure if you are a fashion or lifestyle blogger, you all have similar experience as well otherwise you wouldn’t have interests of doing a blog to start with. But I have never experienced anything like when I am wearing this cardi. Everytime I wear it, I get asked and complimented all the way. Some of you might recognise it already through IG as it is quite an IT item at the moment. But believe or not, those who stopped me in the street aren’t all active Igers, most of them have never seen it. It is such a strong statement piece. If I were them, I would probably ask too. And with one of two statement pieces in your outfit with simple everything else is normally the strongest, the most eye catching but ironically the easiest. If you think you spend too much time in putting everything together everyday. Why not just go for all the basic and make a statement with just one or two special pieces. Quick and easy and it is probably one of my favourite ways of styling.
The cardi is hand made by a group of mums and called Munshandmade. My mum is amazing in knitting as well with lots of other skills. Now I feel I need to learn how knit. It seems mums can do much more then we can these days … but most importantly, I have to finish my next Vogue post now and run to airport after! 😛
This gorgeous cardigan is sponsored by Mumshandmade.
You can find it in many other colours here.
