I don’t think it’s just me, the entire AW16/7 is having Gold Fever. Why not to love it ? It’s rich, it’s shinny, it’s sparkling with the metallic effect and etc.. Even just to think about it, I feel cheer up already especially thinking about wearing it in London’s famously dull winter. I so welcome this trend but don’t get me start talking about my new AW gold/goldish pieces. Let’s start one by one and now from my newest and favorite gold cropped trousers and the first transeasonal outfit.
Do you love it already? Oh yes! At least to me. I just can’t resist that richness of the metallic bronzy gold especially in the also important AW16/7 trend- pleated effect! Pleated effect really enhance the metallic texture. It gives the shininess many dimensions and creates different shades of gold.
Voila, the total look.
Here I wear it with a black velvet bodysuit and few very simple items, Daniel Wellington rose gold watch, fringed ecru-beige crossed body bag, sling back pumps and just layers of simple necklaces. When there is one statement piece in the outfit already, I would just keep the rest of everything simple. (Well it’s my personal taste…) Unless you want to go for all mix and match madness(which I adore) then that is another story.
And just to mention here as well, velvet and furry/hairy shoes are also main AW16/7 trends too! I am not trying to say how fashionable that you should put everything in trend together but I also don’t believe there is such a rule that we shouldn’t or it’s tacky… well there isn’t any rule to follow apart from your own ones. Whatever please your eyes and make you happy… really …
Closer shots of the back of this outfit. You know how much I love naked back design. It is basically my all time favorite.
I am loving this slit detail on the trousers. It’s a small detail but hugely reduces the heaviness of the metallic fabric might look.
Furry/Hairy detail on shoes.
My cute fringed crossed body bag.
Hope you can see the necklaces more clearly here.
Let’s just call this East London vibes! The photos were taken in Shoredish btw.
Voila outfit time:
Below I have made a selection of cool items in different shades of gold to share with you. Hope you like them and see you next time then! x
