Autumn Layering II – Knit on Knit – Big Ben

Following up my last post,  Autumn Layering I, this post is about another kind of layering I like in autumn while you don’t want to wear chunky winter clothes yet but still need something to keep you warm.  Knit on knit is one of my all time favourite autumn styles. Some people might not agree on knit on knit but to me, you can easily wear two knitted items in similar gauges and matching colours as a set for a sophisticated look and we know this has been agreed by Chanel for all seasons or like what I do here by wearing two knitted items in different gauges, different colours, different way of knitting… basically different everything to give a mix of textures look.

First layer of knit:

A thinner gauge plain knit in fitted cut with mink collar which can easily be worn as an under layer and what I really like about it is the contast between the puffiness of the collar and the fitted shape of the bodice which makes it an idea item to go underneath of a jacket or a coat or another cardi with the collar showing but doesn’t give the bulkiness as an under layer. You probably don’t want to have two chunky knit together.

Love my shearling cap btw. I love hat in general. In Winter, they keep you warm and cover your not so perfect hair if that is the case. 🙂

Second layer of the knit:

A chukier loose but also plain knit in kimono shape which makes it perfect to wear as a knitted jacket then a classic cardi.

Another item I would like to mention here is the Ralph Lauren leggings. They really are one of the best. They are thin enough to feel comfortable but not too thin that you will be worried to break them while wearing. Ok they cost not little money but all real leather leggings do and some of them I actually tear them while pulling them on or create a very weird loose knee shape after few times but RL leggings don’t have any of these problems.20161103-142072477420161102361380865My current favorite bag from Fendi, it is in two colours. One side in this baby blue, the other side is grape colour which you can see from photos above. I can imagine using this blue side a lot with jeans. You are probably going to see it a few more times in the future posts. 🙂

Outfit times:

Striped Vest (old)(Zara)

Black Cashmere Mink Collar Cardi (old)(Yves Saint Laurent)

Kimono Sleeves Beige Cardi (Mango)

Leather Leggings (old)(Ralph Lauren Black)(budget)

Ruffles Crossed-body Bag (Fendi-find in store)(love this one)

Shearling Cap (Rag and Bone)(love it in beige)

Ankle Boots (Zara)

Blue/Silver Watch (Christian Paul)

Makeup (Harrods x Bobbi Brown London Palette)

Finally, the amazing photography location, Big Ben/ Westmister Bridget.

See you next time then.  x

I am very interested in that London Palette actually. How is it? Sometimes I find navy hard to apply evenly

This palette is a dream. You should try I think you will like it if this is your kinda colour combination. The quality is great
